Its been almost 10 years since I've done a pub crawl. This one I've undertaken in order to answer an important question. The answer I am looking for is what time to book a table for after I have taken my parents on a cycling tour of Rutland Water stopping at each pub on the way.
The only way to get an accurate time was to do the same journey while subjecting myself to an equal amount of liquid refreshment (in the name of science) Unfortunately the gastro pub(Noel) was shut on the Monday I arrived so I had a very nice BLT in a cafe round the corner to keep to time.
I submit these findings for any scientist who may be reading this.
Start 11:00
Arrive Horse & Jockey 11:28
Leave Horse & Jockey 11:53
Arrive Weatsheaf 12:22
Leave Weatsheaf 12:55
Arrive Noel 1:28
Leave Noel 1:33
Arrive Crafty Fox Cafe 1:37
Leave Crafty Fox Cafe1:56
Finish 2:20
From this data I deduce a 10:30 start for a 2:00 table at Noel would probably suit a larger group.
